DO NOT GO TO DR. PAUL DUCHASTEL AT DUFFERIN MEDICAL CENTREthis man is incredibly disrespectful, ableist, transphobic, and classist and has no idea how to treat patients like human beings. i had an appointment with him today during which he asked me extremely invasive questions about my body and lifestyle that were not relevant to why i was there, yelled and swore at me, threatened me and completely invalidated all of my concerns. he also accused me of lying about the abuse that caused my PTSD and of “bullshitting” him about wanting to “get better.”
this is fucking unacceptable. i was made to feel silenced and unsafe and was triggered to the point of shaking uncontrollably and crying by paul duchastel’s disrespectful, unprofessional, and irresponsible behaviour and abuse of his power as a doctor.
i feel like any official channels of complaint will probably prove useless for me since i’m poor, visibly queer, and mentally ill. but the more people who know about paul duchastel’s disgusting behaviour, the better. so please feel free to reblog.
